The EDGE system was developed in the U.K. by the University of Southampton and University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and was first introduced in 2001. Since then, the system has been used successfully across the U.K. to enhance and support clinical trials, decreasing the administrative burden and streamlining regulatory processes for trials.
In late 2014, EDGE was implemented at the 3CTN Coordinating Centre for portfolio and report management. 3CTN will support Network sites in the hosting, adoption, training and implementation of EDGE to decrease duplication of work and reduce costs for each site who wishes to adopt EDGE.
If you are interested in using EDGE for your Network sites, you can refer to the following documents:

If you are ready to implement EDGE, please complete the Site Intake Form. This will allow us to accurately setup your EDGE organizational structure, evaluate the scope and understand your expectations. Each NCC and NACC will need to complete this form individually and submit to info3ctn.ca.
If you have any questions, concerns about privacy impact of EDGE, or would like to arrange an online demo, please contact the 3CTN EDGE team at info3ctn.ca.
