CTMS-EDGE Support

A clinical trials management system (CTMS) is a trial management tool used by sites for centralized, comprehensive tracking of clinical trial activities, staffing, milestones, metrics and finances. 3CTN supports the use of a CTMS for better site performance management and increased efficiencies and collaborations. 3CTN selected EDGE as its preferred CTMS and will provide EDGE as a supported option for centres that expressed the need, interest, capacity and readiness to adopt a system.

EDGE Clinical Research is a CTMS developed by the University of Southampton and University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. The system has been used successfully across the U.K. to enhance and support clinical trials, decreasing the administrative burden and streamlining regulatory processes for trials.

3CTN will support Network sites in the hosting, adoption, training and implementation of EDGE to decrease duplication of work and reduce costs. To learn more about EDGE, review the Frequently Asked Questions and Site Readiness Checklist.

If you are ready to implement EDGE, please complete the Site Intake Form. This will allow us to accurately setup your EDGE organizational structure, evaluate the scope and understand your expectations. Each Network site will need to complete this form individually and submit to 3CTN.
